Hirundo rustica x Petrochelidon pyrrhonota
Status: Rare casual summer visitor.
Records: There are three records:

12 Jun 2014 Keith Co (Brown and Page 2015)
10 Aug 2021 Scottsbluff WTP, Scotts Bluff Co (Mlodinow, eBird Checklist – 10 Aug 2021).
Comments: A hybrid adult male seen 12 Jun 2014 and netted 17 Jun 5 miles east of Roscoe, Keith Co (Brown and Page 2015). It was paired with a female Barn Swallow and the nest location and characteristics resembled the nest of a Barn Swallow (Brown and Page 2015).
There are numerous records of this hybrid in North America, most in the eastern US and on the Pacific Coast, and also six records in northeastern Colorado (eBird.org, accessed Jul 2023).
